DAY 1 : HCMC – SIEM REAP

04:30 The tour guide and the vehicle in Vietnam will arrive at the designated meeting point to depart for Cambodia.

Meet the group at the main gate of the City Post Office

at 05:00 Pick-up at the Military Theater (140 Cong Hoa).

05:30 Pick-up at the military gas station (N3 Viet Hung).

06:30 Have breakfast in Trang Bang town – Tay Ninh.

07h30 Arrive at the Moc Bai border gate. The tour guide will assist the group with Vietnam’s exit procedures and entry into Cambodia and continue the journey to Siem Reap.

11h00 Have lunch in Kompong Cham city, then continue to Siem Reap. Along the way, the group makes stops to visit:

  • Kompong Kdei (Dragon Bridge) is an ancient bridge with a history of over 1000 years. It is located on National Highway 6, the main road leading to Siem Reap city, the ancient capital of the Angkor kingdom. It is an unmissable historical site for tourists visiting the ancient capital of Siem Reap.

18h30 Upon arrival in Siem Reap, the group will have dinner, check in, and have free time for evening activities.

  • For groups departing from Hanoi:

19h00 The vehicle and tour guide will pick up the group at Siem Reap International Airport. After having dinner, the group will return to the hotel to check in and join the group departing from Ho Chi Minh City.

06h30 Have breakfast at the hotel and start the tour:

  • Visit Angkor Wat – a UNESCO-recognized heritage site since 1992, featuring magnificent stone carvings. Angkor Wat is the pride of the Cambodian people and a major attraction for international tourists. With its unique features, such as being oriented to the West, symbolizing death in Hindu culture, and countless mystical stories, everything will be explained by the tour guide in an engaging and captivating manner.

11h00 Tourists enjoy lunch and return to the hotel to rest.

14h00 The group continues to visit:

  • Ta Prohm Temple is famous for its peculiar, overgrown tree roots covering the grand temples. It is the place where Hollywood chose as the filming location for the movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
  • Angkor Thom Temple – at its center lies Bayon Temple with its 216 enigmatic smiling faces, each of Bayon’s four-sided towers representing “happiness, anger, love, and aversion” in every expression, and there are extensive bas-reliefs stretching hundreds of meters depicting the history and Khmer society in ancient times. Admire the magnificent Angkor architectural art. The tour continues as the vehicle takes you through the Elephant Terrace – the site of traditional Khmer festivals – and the 12 Zodiac Towers.

18h30 Enjoy a buffet dinner and watch a traditional Cambodian Apsara dance show (Apsara dancing show). Tourists are free to explore various attractions in Siem Reap at night time, such as the Siem Reap Night Market, traditional massages, Smile Of Angkor Show, Angkor Dynasty Show, and so on. (expenses are at your own cost).

06h30 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Phnom Penh capital.

On the way back, the group will make stops to visit:

  • The insect market (Skun Market), which specializes in selling various types of insects with shells, spikes, wings, and pincers, like spiders, crickets, grasshoppers, beetles, scorpions, tarantulas, cockroaches, etc. These insects are prepared through various methods, such as frying, grilling, and soaking in different seasonings. When travelers see them, they might be tempted to try.

12h30 Upon arriving in the capital, Phnom Penh, the group will have lunch at Sou Sou Suki, a conveyor belt hotpot restaurant, before returning to the hotel for some rest.

15h00 The journey continues with a visit to

  • the Royal Palace – the contemporary working place of the revered King. Located in the heart of Phnom Penh, the Royal Palace was constructed in 1866. Currently, it serves as the residence and workplace of the Cambodian royal family, and it’s also the venue for various royal ceremonies and events.
  • Silver Pagoda – This is a renowned and sacred pagoda. This temple is also famous for preserving numerous precious statues and invaluable treasures made of pure gold and silver. The most impressive is the Gold Buddha statue, cast in dragon form, with an astonishing weight of 90kg, adorned with 2086 diamonds encrusted around it.

Note: Wear long-sleeved clothing that is not low-cut, and if wearing a dress, it must be below the knees when visiting the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace reserves the right to close for visits without prior notice.

19h00 Enjoy dinner and return to the hotel for rest. Free time to explore the capital city in the evening.

07:00 Have breakfast at the hotel and visit: 

  • the Independence Monument of Cambodia
  • Central Market of Phnom Penh (Phsar Thmey)

11:00 Enjoy lunch at the Tonle Basac II buffet restaurant and depart back to the Bavet border gate.

16:00 Arrive at the Bavet border gate. The tour guide will assist with the Cambodian exit procedures and the VIP entrance to Vietnam for the group. Depart to the initial meeting point, marking the end of the tour in Cambodia. Bid farewell and see you on our future tours.
